Filmées et enregistrés à partir d'un wagon, lors des arrêts de la rame, dans les stations du S-Bahn (métro aérien) de Berlin, les images et les sons de So Long No See forment une composition cinématographique qui prend fin par la lecture d'une lettre en hommage à Luc Yersin, ingénieur du son de cinéma, mort prématurément le 30 mai 2008. Cet hommage pourtant, n'est jamais replié sur lui-même et le film, de par son écriture, inscrit d'emblée le personnel dans l'impersonnel en proposant une lecture de l'histoire individuelle liée à l'histoire en général.

Shot and recorded from the train carriage of the Berlin S-Bahn (elevated train) while it waits at numerous stations along its route So Long No See makes a cinematographic composition between pictures and sounds and ends with a reading of 'homage' letter to Luc Yersin, a cinema sound engineer who died too early on the 30th of May, 2008. This 'homage' is never enclosed on to itself or on that of the film, rather it is in attendant to the cinematographic style which puts the personal into the impersonal and suggests a lecture of personal history connected to a history in general.

Gefilmt und aufgenommen aus einem Waggon an oberirdischen Bahnhöfen der Berliner SBahn, formen die Bilder und Tonaufnahmen von So Long No See eine filmische Komposition, die mit einem vorgelesenen Brief in Gedenken an den vorzeitig am 30. Mai 2008 verstorbenen Schweizer Filmtonmann Luc Yersin endet. Diese Würdigung bleibt jedoch nie in sich selbst geschlossen und der Film, in seiner Form und Struktur, bringt das Persönliche ins Unpersönliche. Er unterbreitet somit eine Lektüre einer individuellen Geschichte in Beziehung zur allgemeinen Geschichte.
